Introduction

There will be controllable lights all around the field which is a project called ColourMySHA, which will be turning the entire camp into a visual effects experiment! A special crew of 6 volunteers is needed to help buildup and teardown these installations, which they will work on full-time during 3 days.

A separate crew of 3 angels is needed for building up the Lounge together with DJSpock.

The days will start with a brief introduction and explanation of the activities, after which you will start working. You will be taken care of well, with coffee (or something else) in the morning, lunch, soup, etc. Dinner can be consumed in the Heaven kitchen.

Planning

Lounge Buildup - August 2nd: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

ColourMySHA Buildup - August 2nd: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

ColourMySHA Buildup - August 3rd: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM (or earlier when the work is done)

ColourMySHA Teardown - August 8th: 9:30 AM - 10 PM (or earlier when the work is done)

Important information from the project team:

  • The team will be assigned a teamleader, this person will be introduced to the team during the coffee in the morning. All persons working are expected to “dance to the commands of the teamleader”. The teamleader (TL) is an experienced tech who knows the project and knows how gear should be handled on a safe and responsible manner.
  • Besides the offered food and drinks crew members are free to drink and eat as much of they own as they like/need. One strict rule: no alcohol or drugs (any!) are allowed during the working-hours. We will work with heavy goods on heights and goods that are under power as high as 400Volts. We need the crew to be alert and fully able to focus. In the evening, we will make a fire on the village and everyone is invited to drink and use whatever they like at that time.
  • At some moments, it might happen that there is no work to do for the volunteers. (e.g. when we first must complete a highly-specialized task before we can continue with the next thing). At those moments, the TL can release the volunteers for a short time and ask them to stay close (so they can be called-back) of be back at a certain time. This is a favor and people really need to live to these agreements.
  • Some of the activities need to be performed on height. If people are afraid of height they should make this clear so that other people can do that job. Indicating such thing is not seen as a limitation or reason for disqualification (or whatever), if you are scared you cannot work safe so you should not put yourself into such situation.
  • If people have a medical condition that we should be aware of, please make sure we're aware of this. The TL will be informed and we will take this into account, no questions asked.
  • It is highly advised for all crew members to wear PBM’s (Personal protection gear), in general this boils down to “wear safety shoos” and “wear a helmet as long as people are working above you”. We cannot provide safety shoos, but will bring some helmets to use. Next to that are people who work on high, unsafe places (such as in the towers) are expected to wear a harness and safe themselves to the object they are working on. If you own such gear, please bring it.
  • The whole team is responsible for safety. If anyone (including the volunteers) sees something happening that does not look safe he/she is expected to stop the activity and explain to the TL what goes wrong. During times that objects move this must be done by shouting “HO” of “STOP”, if things are less urgent they can be discussed with the TL. On the other hand: everyone is expected to stop directly when someone shouts “HO” or “STOP”.
  • If you hold special certifications (like forklift-, skyworker- or similar permits), please let us know so that we know who to ask for these kinds of tasks.

Want to join on all of these 3 days as a ColourMySha angel? The first 6 angels to apply will get accepted! (The Lounge team is already full, sorry!)
